I guess summer days are good for one thing....

Putting a water hose to good use........

Staph infection = Owies!

Last month Orion devoloped what we thought was a bug bite on his arm. After 2 days of it not going away and it getting redder and larger we took him to Urgent Care. There we found out that it was not a bug bite but a Staph infection!

So after some HEAVY antibiotics, we had 2 choices, they could "lance" it which would consist of cutting it open draining and cleaning it out then bandaging it up. Problem with that is that Orion will not keep a bandaide on. Which would leave it open to more infection. So we opted to go with plan B. Which I regretted......

3 x's a day I had to hold a warm wash cloth on it and drain it myself. Which was beyond disgusting. The amount of goo that came out of him arm is amazing.....and gross.

Orion took it like a trooper! Of course he cried but was very forgiving to me. I felt soo bad to have to cause him pain when it was clear he was already in so much pain with it. But it cleared up within a week and the doctor gave him the stamp of approval and he is all better now. It was a rough week!

Heat - my one true enemy

Most of you know that I get migraines. And they S. U. C. K. They have many triggers and one is heat. So of late, Migraines have been plenty. When its really hot, and for me thats anything above 85, i try to stay indoors as much as possible. So needless to say, heat is not my friend and I cant wait for fall.

But there is one silver lining in my little cloudy rain storm.....when its hot Kevin finally craves ice cream. I am the opposite. When its cold i want ice cream. So my happy little summer treat......


Its the little things in life......I love!

Why do they grow up?

My baby graduated to a "big boy" booster seat last month. So sad that he is already 3...
